(n.) refers to the beat of the heart, considered to be the essential organ of life and the source of all activities.
KOKORO refers to all human activities affecting the outside world through intention, emotion and intellect.
KOKORO has three basic meanings:
The heart and its functions; the mind and its functions; and our centre, or essence.
Hailing from the sunny state of QLD, KOKORO Living was established in 2021, born from a desire to bridge the gap between ancient, conscious living and modern 21st century living.
With a goal to promote overall wellness through traditional practices and mindful habits, KOKORO LIVING combines quality, simple, unique and stylish products which offer our customers a pathway toward body, mind and spirit connection.
Our aim is to inspire mindful action in day-to-day life and promote a simple, conscious lifestyle to help create an environment of self-love and self-care for one and all.
Each product that we choose is carefully sourced to ensure a conscious and ethical supply chain and we work with small local suppliers who we have built really beautiful relationships with. Each KOKORO LIVING piece has been touched with love and intent and we hope you feel that when you receive your products.
Most of what we create comes from mother nature. The source of all love. We believe in sourcing our ingredients in sustainable ways that serve this Earth. We’re constantly working to ensure these ingredients are also sourced in ethical and sustainable ways.
Behind KOKORO LIVING is me, Alicia. I could go on and on about mindfulness and mindful living all day, and something in me clicked after a realisation that I had that this was my absolute passion in life. So, KOKORO LIVING was born.. When I started out I had noticed the quality of Sage that I was buying online was declining and I often ended up buying loose Sage Sticks that smelt pretty weird and didn’t last long. I just wasn’t satisfied with what was out there. So I started looking.. And here we are! With a beautiful brand that I am so proud of and one that I wake up every day and pour my heart and soul into.

We live in a world which thinks you’re either this (professional, fast paced, masculin) or you’re that (spiritual, alternative etc) but there’s more. There’s an all encompassing love that exists and this is YOU.
Most of us all work a 9-5 job 5 days a week. It’s true. The modern world wants you to believe that what you’re searching for is endless and that you can’t stop and be. Within this world, it’s really hard to be you. But you are within that. And we want to keep it simple by selling a few products that we believe are the key mindful practices that bring you back to YOU. To find your grounding, to find YOUR centre.
If we don’t find ourselves and love ourselves, how can we expect anyone else to love us?

When I started out, I was giving away smudge sticks to all of my girlfriends and now suddenly I have a store dedicated to wellness and have sold 1000’s of sage sticks across Australia. I’m so happy to be on this journey with you all and I’m thankful that you’re here.
